Agreements & Special Programs

A grant up to $10,000 for three years to complete a major in the Department of Biology. Must first be accepted for admission to the university.

To be eligible to apply for Transitions funding: have a 2.75 cumulative GPA; be a citizen or national of the United States, alien admitted as a refugee, or alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence; and have demonstrated financial need.

IAI Participant

This college or university participates in the Illinois Articulation Initiative.

The Illinois Articulation Initiative General Education Core Curriculum (IAI GECC) is a collection of general education courses that, when completed, an IAI participating institution agrees to accept in place of its own comparable lower-division general education requirements. Completing the IAI GECC works best for students who plan to transfer to an IAI participating school but who have not decided which one.

When the IAI GECC is not completed before transfer, the transfer school will evaluate general education courses on a course-by-course basis.
